I've got another idea guys, (a bit of a stab in the dark this one but who knows might work) if we all e-mail/write/phone the BBC and ask them to buy up planet rock given the amount of listeners 500,000+ and the way the governments been pushing digital theres a remote possibility they might buy up planet rock.

Just been listening to planet rock while i'v been welding my car. Rick wakemen says they will soon be organising a way we can practically save the station, if anyone knows more about this (Rick if your out there reading this) then please let me know. Hope this means collectively buying the station, then we can guarantee it never closes down! jossratcliffe@gmail.com

I've sent an e-mail to Planet Rock suggesting they organise a sale of the station to listeners. I don't know about you lot but I'd be willing to spend my life savings to keep this station on the air, owning part of it would be fantastic. If only someone at the station can get this out and organised then we could save planet rock

I got a DAB radio for Christmas and it's tuned in to Pr. I listen to nothing else. Why? I like Classic Rock and find trhe majority, if not all commercial radios to lack identity. They play the same music, ad the same business bar a few local ones. To hear that PR is to stop airing is depressing and just adds more doom and gloom to this year.

I bought a DAB car radio, a DAB portable, and a DAB tuner, for indoors, because Planet Rock played "my" music. If Planet Rock closes down there will be no refuge from artless pop pap, indeed the bean counters will have triumphed over pure art yet again. STOP THEM! Save Planet Rock.

Planet Rock was the ONLY reason I purchased the Pure Evoke Marshall DAB radio. What a shockingly short sighted decision by GCap.

Capital 95.8 will have a new flexible inventory policy with up to nine minutes of advertising per hour and we plan to dispose of our interest in Digital One, reflecting our view that DAB is not an economically viable platform for the Company. Now does that sound like a sensible business strategy to you?? Get rid of the biggest potential listener base!!! Keep the rock, KEEP PLANET ROCK!!

It's time to make a stand! A great station, a great bunch of people keeping the rock flame burning strong! It would be a disgrace to lose such a pioneering station and one which provides so much to so many in a field that is now becoming celebrated and very much in vogue once more! You know it makes sense! Save our Planet Rock!!!

You can't allow the only decent music station to close. NO ONE else plays the range and quality of music that Planet Rock does. As with football it's the fans' interests that take second place to the interests of the greysuits.
