Planet Rock is consistently the best music station on DAB in the UK. It's reminded me of old classics, introduced me to a few I didn't know, and cured my long standing desire to jump from station to station. Don't let it go, please. Tim Bean

Come on people. DAB radio's were rather expensive for a while there but they have come right in price in the last couple of months. This station replaces the record collections of all of us out there who know what a record collection actually is! As Mr Costner once said, "Build it and they will come". Keep the faith, don't close the station. Simon G

Please don't let our ONLY rock radio station die. Our great country have given the world some of the biggest rock bands on the planet - Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, The Pistols, The Clash. The list is endless, the Rock Music genre is huge, and there are no other radio stations serving this genre of music, please make Planet Rock survive on DAB.

Just behave yourselves and leave planet rock alone. It's the only station I listen to when I lock myself away in the shed cleaning my motorcycle. If you take it off the air, you will be directly responsible for all the dirty motorcycles on the planet. I also listen to it online late at night when my bike is clean and I surf the internet.

I also purchased my DAB radio just to listen to Planet Rock. Take note a rock audience is a loyal audience and life long members. Our children need this, or we will end up with a nation of mindless music morons who listen to accountant music! Now do we really want to submit our children to that?

GCAP need to remember that the generation that has grown up with classic rock - and is now listening to Planet Rock - is the generation that has the highest proportion of dispensable income to spend. The younger listeners are going to become the generation with the money. Planet Rock has already become a British institution. Invest in it. Put it on FM so that the brand can grow and for the sake of your own profit margins, don't alienate your market by withdrawing a station that has incredible loyalty and potential.

SickthingsUK.co.uk supports the "Save Planet Rock" petition, not just because they carry the Alice Cooper show, but because the country NEEDS a station like this. UK radio is a disgrace.PlanetRock serves an huge audience that simply isn't catered to on Terrestrial radio.

What the hell are they thinking of? In this day there is room for all types of music on the radio. What was the point of me buying a DAB if I cannot listen to the station which beats Terry Wogan hands down. Long Live Alice, Long Live Planet Rock.....but more importantly Long Live Rock and Roll!!!!

The only Radio Station that plays all different sorts of rock and its to close. There is no other radio station like Planet Rock. All the rest play the same sort of music. So we need to save a Planet Rock or throw your DAB radio in the dustbin.

The main radio station we listen to, we have it on at least 10 hours a day. This station is excellent, great programming, interesting presenters and, of course, the amazing music. We have 5 DAB receivers in order to listen to it and fill the house with amazing music. We would be devasted if it closed.

Planet Rock is pretty much the only radio station I listen to, it would be wrong to close it down. I do not even have a DAB radio, they probably do not even work where I live but you can get Planet Rock via the SKY dish so a DAB is not a necessity to listen to Planet Rock. Channel 0110 on SKY works just as well. It is great to be able to switch to PR on the TV when busy in another room, it is the only station worth listening to these days.

Planet Rock - its the only reason I bought a DAB radio and its the only radio station I listen to. In fact Planet Rock is the only one WORTH listening to, and its not just great music but its all the background information and insights plus up to date gig info. I've learnt so much and heard so many great tracks that have passed me by for various reasons - I'm actually buying music again! For all Classic Rock fans, please keep it going! Maybe some of top rock stars could join together to buy it - a sort of Rock Co-Operative!!

This sad situation is due to all the manufacturers refusing to support DAB. DAB should have been put in all new car radios as standard for the last few years. Also isn't it about time that some of the RICH rockstars helped save it? Apart from Brian May, who else has offered to dip their hands in their BIG pockets? WE put them there by buying their records!! It's paypack time Mr Plant & co!

The only station of its kind in the UK. Do not be so short sited. Is DAB radio not the future, plus surely the demaographic of the listeners lends itself to advertising (ie people aged 20+ onwards, with more disposable income). Think again GCAP, or at least attempt to find someone to take it over.
