| Alan H. Fri, 02/22/2008 23:29 | Planet Rock has made me passionate about radio. Losing it will be a very sad day indeed. Good luck to you Brian May - It will be a great thing for such a station be run by someone who has passion for the product over the profit. Alan H |

The government should nationalise Planet Rock!! (Northern Rock - Planet Rock nearly the same thing (well they both have Rock in the title)) |
| Andy W. Fri, 02/22/2008 23:08 | Dont close Planet Rock down - its the only one worth listening to |
| Simon T. Fri, 02/22/2008 23:09 |
Planet Rock is the best reason to buy and enjoy DAB Radio. Since being introduced to the station we've bought 7 DAB radios and I've even bought one of those Pure gadgets to listen to PR in the car! Be warned Gcrap - if you close this station down I'm coming after YOU for my money back! |
| derek f. Fri, 02/22/2008 22:52 | planet rock ROCKS NO national playlist no backhanders no smarmy djs just good old (and new) rock and roll played loud and proud. ps if u aint got fish's new cd get it it rocks. |

Don't close this excellent station down. There's precious little good music on radio nowadays - don't make this worse. Biff |
| Graeme H. Fri, 02/22/2008 22:16 | Save the money somewhere else and leave us alone. |

Although I live in Brazil, Planet Rock is more than a radio station for me. It´s not only a radio station which is entirely devoted to good rock music: it´s a community, where people interact and make friends. It may sound strange, but I always felt that guys like Nicky Horne and Colin Slade (where are you, mate? Miss your show a lot) were close friends of mine. It didn´t matter the fact they were on the other side of the Atlantic. What really matters to me is the love we all share for rock and roll and for this station. Good news that Brian May is interested to buy it! Besides being one of the greates rock icons ever, Brian has a unique sensibility and understands that the end of a radio like Planet Rock means a lack of respect for all of us of who love rock and roll. Good luck to Brian or whoever wants to buy the station. If business men think it´s not a good investment, that´s fine! We don´t want guys who keep their brains in their pockets dealing with one thing they don´t understand: passion! Long live Planet Rock Paula Lins - Brazil |
| Steve C. Fri, 02/22/2008 22:19 | Well put Paula. Totally agree with your comment. |

Someone Please save Planet Rock! This cannot be right. Its like we all received a precious gift only then to have it taken away the following day. Planet Rock must not be allowed to die. 'Planet Rock forever'. |
| Ron G. Fri, 02/22/2008 21:52 | The only Station worth listening to Keep it on air please |
| pierre g. Fri, 02/22/2008 21:35 |
seriously, it's taken years for somebody to come up with a station that plays proper music rather than mindless rubbish. please - keep planet rock on air... |
| Steph B. Fri, 02/22/2008 19:07 | If Planet Rock were to close I would stop listening to the radio full stop!! It's the only station worth listening to and takes me and my other half back to our youth! |
| Pete C. Fri, 02/22/2008 19:06 |
hang on a second. A Planet Rock listener is, perhaps, old enough to remember classic rock and now has the disposable income to attract advertisers to the station wherby the owners make a profit. Doh!!! haven't the owners considered that?? But further, if it's a dead stick why is the station attracting more listeners??? |
| Paul H. Fri, 02/22/2008 18:09 | Typical.....I wait 30 years for a station dedicated to my favourite music and then, after having bought 4 DAB radios, some accountant decides it has to stop. Can I have my money back please because there's nothing else on digital I want to listen to? |
| Chris M. Fri, 02/22/2008 18:04 |
Ageing old space alien seeks Terran radio station for vibrational energy take off. |
| lauren r. Fri, 02/22/2008 17:50 | It's one of very few radio stations i listen to.... we all need our classic rock fix. |
| Phil D. Fri, 02/22/2008 17:43 |
As it is the only one of its kind in the UK, and especially as we no longer have the delights of the Old Grey Whistle Test (or equivalent) then somehow it must be kept alive. |
| Doug W. Fri, 02/22/2008 17:14 | Brings back memories of my youth. We need to keep this station alive. I know a hell of a lot of old rockers that are p****d off. Don't let this happen |
| Richard N. Fri, 02/22/2008 17:13 |
SAVE PLANET ROCK!!!! It is by far THE BEST radio station in the UK! |
| mal h. Fri, 02/22/2008 17:12 | without planetrock i might as well become a monk! life without planet rock" unthinkable my worst nightmare |
| Stevie A. Fri, 02/22/2008 16:23 |
How are the kids going to learn anything about this great music. You'll condemn them to a life of bland poppy pop.Don't do it! |
| Ian D. Fri, 02/22/2008 15:54 | PLEASE save 'The Rock!] i'm a 35 year old music fan and cannot put into words the loss I would feel if Planet Rock closed. How the HELL can Planet Rock close and Magic stay on the air???! |
| Raymond W. Sat, 02/23/2008 14:35 |
My sentiments exactly. When s**t boybands like Take That win the Brit Awards it goes to show that braindead kids do not listen or have never heard of EDUCATIONAL MUSIC THAT PLANET ROCK plays. We must send them to the SCHOOL OF ROCK. Any band that don't play instruments but rely on session men don't earn my respect. If they had a guitar thrust in their hands they'd s**t themselves. |
| Dave M. Fri, 02/22/2008 15:16 | We need to save the Planet lets do everything we can. Dave M |

| Mark W. Fri, 02/22/2008 12:46 | Come on there must be a buyer out there for this great station. |
| DIANE N. Fri, 02/22/2008 12:38 |
I am gutted to hear about the possible closure of PLANET ROCK.It was the only reason a bought a dab radio and pretty muh the only station i listen to.i wake up to it and often go to sleep with aid of the snooze button.
