Unbelivable that a station with so many listeners can be shut down. How am I supposed to work without Planet Rock? |
| Lesley R. Sat, 02/23/2008 22:14 | This is a great thing we are doing here - we have to stand together and make this happen. We cannot let Planet Rock close. Rob Birnie is the absolute best DJ in the world and he's the only person capable of getting me up in the mornings! Keep rocking. |
| hannibal l. Sat, 02/23/2008 21:38 |

Lice Fans listen all over EEurope through this radiostation just to hear him. WHY WHY WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!! SOBS AND TEARS ALL OVER THE PLACE! WE NEED PLANET ROCK! WE CAN'T LIVE WITHHOUT ALICE!!! Even Smegol has something to say here, okay, you go ahead dear, what is it you have on your heart? "They stole it from ussss... OURS IT IS! MY PRECIOUS!!! | John W. Sat, 02/23/2008 21:13 | I only got my DAB in order to listen to Planet Rock! Why are they targeting Planet Rock? This is discrimination against rock fans |
| chris b. Sat, 02/23/2008 20:39 |
I'm lucky in some ways because my Dad is a freind of Rick Wakeman so I won't lose his rants lol.. But seriously the only reason I bought a DAB was to listen to Planet rock LETS SAVE PLANET ROCK |
| Steven C. Sat, 02/23/2008 20:16 | I too bought three DAB radio's to listen to Planet Rock, both around the house and on the move. So much on DAB is the same old crap and mediocrity. But then, the men in suits just love mediocrity, don't they? Here's hoping someone out there has some vision and will save this exellent radio station. |
| Justin C. Sat, 02/23/2008 19:18 |
All the best and I hope that Planet Rock is saved |
| Geoff C. Sat, 02/23/2008 18:57 | I hope the legendary Brian May does buy it. G |
| Glenn G. Sat, 02/23/2008 18:36 |
Save Planet Rock - the best radio station in the solar system. I have bought 3 DAB radios simply so I can here PR all around the house, and a portable unit so I can listen on the move! No other station caters for my tastes like PR. Close some of these MOR, Hip-Hop, Rap and Pop stations which are 2 a penny instead! |
| Robert C. Sat, 02/23/2008 18:25 | Just here to say: "Pls don't go"....you know where we're all comin' from right?! Rob |
| David G. Sat, 02/23/2008 17:25 |
Theres nothing else to compare - Dont shut it down !! Dave G |
| Paul D. Sat, 02/23/2008 17:16 | Planet Rock HAS TO BE SAVED! It is the ONLY rock radio station worth listening to. How can a station be closed when it is so popular and unique? There is clearly a market for rock music and has been for decades. Oh yes it's down to the 'suits' making 'commercial' decicions. They obviously know nothing about music radio. |
| Robert C. Sat, 02/23/2008 17:14 |
I just say "Baby, please don't go...!!" |
| Ian B. Sat, 02/23/2008 17:06 | I listen to Planet Rock six days a week at work, if it goes there is no alternative radio station playing this kind of music - the music that I love, so somebody please keep it going! Thank you. |
| Colin C. Sat, 02/23/2008 16:43 |

How can Planet Rock be allowed to close when there are crap channels playing crap music.? Anybody can listen to Westlife & all that crap on Radio 1. There are channels that play crap on my DAB RADIO, How can they attract more audience than the GREAT PLANET ROCK? Save PLANET ROCK, THE ONLY MUSIC WORTH LISTENING TO. |

| carol b. Sat, 02/23/2008 13:05 | Best music to come out of my radio since Luxembourg. |
| John M. Sat, 02/23/2008 13:01 |
For years all we had was the late Tommy Vance and one show a week now we have a proper radio station and someone wants to pull the plug on it. It makes no sense. There are people in rock music who have the money and the ability to to fund a radio station - pleeeeeease save the best radio station in Britain.......I couldn't face going back to Radio 2!! |
| Matt S. Sat, 02/23/2008 12:50 | Planet Rock-Yes the reason why we got a DAB radio. Not making enough profit? Of course that's all there is! What planet are these people from. Matt & Di |
| carl r. Sat, 02/23/2008 12:47 |
It seems pointless to shut a radio station that has constantly had more and more listeners why???? the only radio sataion that plays decent music that know-one elese does. carl robson |
| RAYMOND O. Sat, 02/23/2008 12:28 | Planet rock will survive! Get some of the superstars to put their hands in their pocket. But do not let Bob Geldof get his mitts on it ,or p .r. will be doomed |
| Dan L. Sat, 02/23/2008 12:12 |
Someone HAS to stop this!! So many other rubbish radio stations that cater for minorities paid for from tax payers money. Banks saved with tax payers money. Someone will save it... Long live rock!! |
| Stephen G. Sat, 02/23/2008 11:52 | After so many years we have a radio station to cater for what is obviously a well-liked, listened to type of music and now the plug is being pulled! Not on. Rock music has outlasted all the pop stuff yet is still ignored by corporations! Keep Planet Rock. |
| Dave S. Sat, 02/23/2008 11:41 |

| Ashley P. Sat, 02/23/2008 11:19 |
Hi. Why close Planet Rock? Its a brilliant station. It brings hope in the form of great music instead of the mind numbing crap found elsewhere. |
| adrian b. Sat, 02/23/2008 10:10 | I am saddened to hear about the potential closure of planet rock (lets hope brian may can purchase) , this is the only radio station I can tolerate (and some radio4) due to the Shi* playlists on every other radio station……pls pls someone BUY it !!!! |
| Mike G. Sat, 02/23/2008 09:05 |
This station cannot close. It puts a smile on my face everyday when a long forgotten but loved tune is played. It's the only reason i bought a DAB radio. Long live rock and roll. Mike Geen |
