Planet Rock was one of the main reasons I bought a DAB Radio because after years of listening to Commercial radio and their non stop Mariah Carey soundalikes warbling over the airwaves it was so refreshing hearing a rock station that actually plays consistently good music. Rick's Place is an absolute 'must listen to" programme. Two very good stations i.e. Planet Rock and TheJazz are being thrown into the bin instead of Classic FM and Capital Life both also owned by GCAP. I think its GCAP who haven't got their finger on the pulse. Look at the listening (and rising) figures, no other business would turn down a growth market like that. SAVE PLANET ROCK regards Richard B

I can't believe it could close at the end of the month, the DJs have introduced me to some brilliant stuff as well as unearthing so many classics and album tracks by the big names.I only listen to this station at home in me van or at work , i don't know what i'll do ! Rick + Alice GET YOUR MONEY OUT !

This is not a rant - BUT once again we are victims of a government **** up. DAB a great idea implemented in a half ar*ed way not enough transmitters insufficient signal strength means that half the DAB radios available just cannot pick up a decent signal. They will no doubt wait till loads of stations have gone then panic and do something what a surprise.

What a disaster if it goes! Keep the Planet Rocking! Can't Rick Wakeman get in touch with some of his old rock friends to get together a consortium -surely they have some money they could put in to save the Country's best rock radio station!

I used to have to listen to Scouting For Girls' 'She's So Lovely' in the bath in the morning. Since discovering Planet Rock I get the count five's 'Psychotic Reaction'. Where's the problem?
