Please DON'T let this happen!! How else will we be able to get through saturday mornings/afternoons without Rick & Hoffy, and their 'shaggy dog stories'/jokes? Lol! I Love Planet Rock! Somebody please step in and save it, before it's taken away from us, forever... (:o(

Planet Rock has been like a friend to me over the years, sometimes the only one. All the presenters are fantastic and breakfast will never be the same without Alice. There is no other station that comes anywhere near Planet Rock.

We can't let this happen, I refuse to have to listen to countless cloned county pop stations. Nicky Horne is a legend and Planet Rock is the best thing to happen to radio in decades. If FM is the only way forward, bring on Planet Rock FM!

I've been listening to Planet Rock for the last 12 months. I only got a DAB radio so that I could get access to good quality rock music instead of the usual dross available on most AM/FM stations. How can any self respecting media company think that the future is in stereotypical commercial FM radio. What do they think people are buying DAB's for?

It would be a huge shame if Planet Rock closed. I and many of my friends have only just discovered it. I might as well throw away my Car DAB radio if it closes. I am sure that there are enough listeners out there to keep it viable. Good luck! I wish I had known about it earlier & had been able to spread the word more. Heck I would even pay say £5 a month to keep it open as I know many others would too.

To all those moaning if it closes - why didn't you put your hands in your pockets and make a pledge to save it? We could have bought it ourselves! Vicki, Plymouth

Mmmmmmm a little harsh me thinks, not everyone can afford to put their hands in their pockets, however good on those who did. Unfortunatly I guess that doesn't matter anymore now. All we can do is pull together and demonstrate our feelings about Planet Rock.

Typical UK. The hundreds of thousands...millions maybe - bought up and crazy about Zep, Floyd, Maiden et al are to lose their only source of music enjoyment short of cd's. With probably more than a hundred crummy "pop" stations battling for audiences, are we REALLY to believe that our genre is such a niche market that it really ain't worth having?? HOW DARE THEY! I wonder what salaries these execs and dj's are on? Not making enough profit? If it makes enough to clear it's costs and give me 30k to live on, I'LL BUY IT! Grahame - now in Tenerife
