the greatest radio station ever to grace the airwaves cant be allowed to close, rock music has lasted through all kinds of new fads of music throughout the years. where else can you turn on the radio and hear ac/dc and led zep, rush and black sabbath at any time of the day. keep this station alive. |

I struggle to understand gCAP's short sighted view of DAB in general and their intention to close Planet Rock. Classic Rock music has seen a huge resurgance over the past few years with lots of young kids also taking an interest in Rock. I mean just look how many of then are taking up guitar and learning stuff from the likes of ACDC. In my view it would be a real shame if this station could not be saved as I believe it could have a highly commercially viable future. Just consider how many classic Rock Stations there are in the USA and the UK the home of some of the greatest groups and musicians in the world, has only one brilliant station dedicated to this fantastic genre, and thats under threat. It just must be saved!! |

I've only just bought a sodding dab radio so I could listen to Planet Rock. Every time I put it on, there's always a track I haven't heard for ages, so it's not all formulaic. Incidentally, it's costing me a fortune buying cds of albums I used to have - but I don't mind. Keep this channel, please. |

I am so passionate about Planet Rock, that I have purchased a ‘Pure Highway’ DAB radio for the car. I can now continue to listen to Alice Cooper in the car on the way to work, and Nicky Horne/Rick Wakeman on the way home. Somebody out there Please SAVE THE PLANET ! |
